The Tour (Tour Code: NP1) This day is dedicated to the memory of Normandy battle and the embarkment of the allies in 1944 (referred to as "Operation Overlord". It will be with strong feelings that you will visit some of the areas where the Allies fought to recover freedom. The circuit is of particular interest to World War II veterans, their families and to clients of all nationalities interested in this significant chapter in European history. Tour duration: 12 hours Tour price: $261 USD (per person) Itinerary We cross the western districts of Paris as far as the Porte d'Auteuil and take the motorway as far as Caen. We stop at the Caen memorial museum (known as the Peace Museum) for a commented visit and film followed by lunch. After lunch we depart for the landing beaches with a stop at both the Pointe du Hoc and the American cemetery Saint-Laurent at Omaha Beach. We continue with a visit of a German battery of artillery and make a stop at Arromanches. Our visit to the landing beaches includes Gold, Juno and Sword (where the Canadians, French and British landed). Short stop on the motorway on our return journey to Paris. Return to Paris : 9.30pm.
